Who is Wing Commander Algernon Fortescue?

Wing Commander Fortescue and his loyal side-kick Sergeant “Binky“ Templeton travel through time and space on secret adventures for the betterment of mankind. It was on one such adventure in January 2010 that they were forced to ditch in the outskirts of London, after a nasty dogfight with Pirates hiding off the rings of Saturn.

Now stranded, in dire need of repairs and medical treatment for Binky, Algernon wandered into the office of a business offering professional financial advice and planning. Luckily Algernon had always paid contributions into his savings account and insurance policies by Direct Debit, so the adviser was able to access their current financial situation using the Real-Time Valuation feature from the JCS Adviser suite. Binky was able to claim on his medical insurance policy and Algernon could draw down 10% of his Life Assurance Bond, which gave him enough liquidity to repair their ship. The adviser then produced a plan that clearly displayed the required contributions to ensure that he could not only finance the next mission to Ancient Egypt, but also have enough left over for a long and happy retirement.
